Welcome to My WA Wrapped. Your privacy is not just a policy for us—it is the core of our product. This document explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application and subscription services.
1. Our “Zero-Storage” Promise
We built My WA Wrapped so that your private messages never leave your device.
- No Server Uploads: We do not have servers that store your chat logs.
- Local Processing: All analysis (calculating top emojis, most active hours, etc.) happens directly on your smartphone’s hardware.
- Temporary Access: The app accesses the chat file you provide only for the duration of the analysis.
2. Data We Process
To provide our services, we categorize data into two types:
A. Your Personal Conversations (The “Wrapped” Content)
- Source: The WhatsApp chat export files you choose to analyze.
- Our Access: None. We cannot see, read, or listen to your messages.
- Storage: This data is processed in your device’s temporary memory and is not saved by the app after the analysis is complete.
B. Technical & Subscription Data
Because we offer a subscription model and aim to improve the app, we collect limited technical information:
- Subscription Status: Handled via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not see your credit card details; we only receive a notification that your subscription is active.
- App Usage (via Mixpanel): We use Mixpanel to understand how users interact with the app. This includes anonymized events like “Button Clicked,” “Wrapped Generated,” or “Subscription Screen Viewed.”
- Note: Mixpanel never receives the content of your chats. It only tracks app navigation.
- Device Details: Basic info such as your OS version, device model, and preferred language.
3. Why We Collect This Information
We use the limited data we collect (Section 2B) for the following:
- To Manage Subscriptions: Ensuring you have access to the premium features you paid for.
- To Fix Bugs: Analyzing crash reports to make the app more stable.
- To Improve UX: Using Mixpanel insights to make the app easier to navigate.
4. Third-Party Services
We partner with trusted platforms to keep the app running:

5. Global Compliance & Your Rights

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
- Request Deletion: You can delete your account or any data associated with your email at any time.
- Opt-Out: You can disable analytics tracking within the app settings.
- Information: You can ask us exactly what data we have regarding your support tickets or account.
6. Security
Since your chat data never leaves your phone, the primary security is your phone’s own encryption. We recommend:
- Using biometric locks (FaceID/Fingerprint) on your device.
- Only exporting chats in a secure environment.
7. Children’s Privacy
My WA Wrapped is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
